China no threat, can't take us for granted: India

Chennai: Union Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju on Saturday said India did not face a threat from China and that no country could take India for granted owing to its strong deterrence posture. "We have healthy economic ties with China, our neighbour. While there are differences of perception on border issues, they are being thrashed out at the high level meeting of National Security Advisors," Raju said while answering reporters after commissioning Indian Coast Guard vessel Raj Tarang. According to him, India has a strong deterrence posture which is further being strengthened and does not foresee any conflict between the world's two most populated nations. Raju said both countries were trying to be
