Three members of a family were found dead on Saturday evening at their house in Punnamukku near Kundara. The deceased were identified as Geevarghese Panicker alias Babu,53, his son Jerry,14 and daughter Jennifer,13. The body of Geevarghese was found hanging while the children were presumed to have consumed poison.
The family had been staying in Saudi Arabia and returned recently.
Geevarghese and his wife Kunjamma Saramma, a native of Mylom near Kottarakkara, had been living separately since then over some family dispute.
She had filed a domestic violence case against her husband and his bank accounts were frozen in connection with case. Police suspect that separation might have led to the suicide. Kundara police have registered a case of unnatural death.
