'Ek Tha Tiger' will not be released in Pakistan

New Delhi: It's decided now. Salman Khan starrer 'Ek Tha Tiger' is not going to be released in Pakistan. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweets, "Breaking News: No release for #EkThaTiger in Pakistan." He further says that this latest development can result into a loss for the makers, "#EkThaTiger no release in Pakistan on Eid means loss of minimum 10 to 12 crores."

An official statement released by Yash Raj Films says, "As we have always maintained, we will follow the law of the land and show the film to the Pakistan censor board at the appropriate time for their approval before announcing its release there. The film has not been cleared for release by their censor board after they saw it yesterday."

The film received a grand opening on August 15 and as per early predictions, it has garnered around Rs 33 crore on the very first day. This is way ahead than 'Agneepath' which had the privilege of being the biggest opener of Bollywood till date, this Hrithik Roshan starrer had gathered Rs 22 crore on its first day.
